Kartik started Patang after too many years watching the same problem play out: founders with real ideas, stuck between a design team that couldn't talk to engineers and an engineering team that wouldn't talk back. Good work getting lost in handoffs. Months spent. Nothing shipped.

He'd spent 8 years on the inside. Head of Design at multiple startups, shipped design systems from zero, led teams, held the M.Tech in AI and Machine Learning. He wasn't short on experience. He was short on patience for how studios operated.

So Patang is built differently. Design and engineering sit in the same room, work the same brief, ship together. No translation layer. No "over to the dev team" moment. One process, start to finish.

We move in weeks. We've worked with Google AdLabs, Tata Motors, Reliance, Valour Capital, and a handful of founders nobody's heard of yet but will.

Design

We believe constraints make better design. That speed forces better decisions. That the gap between design and engineering is where most products go to die, and closing it is the whole job.

We don't believe in design for its own sake. A beautiful screen that confuses users is a failure. A product that ships late is a product that loses. Design is how you think, not just what you see.
